Sintelsat has successfully accomplished the Acceptance Testing of the ATC network for voice, data, AFTN and AIS communication for the National Air Navigation Services in Egypt. This satellite network uses Viasat LinkWay platform and Memotec Multiplexer in Cairo and 19 regional airport sites.

The ATC network includes a hub station in Cairo and 19 regional airport sites located in Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan, Asyut, Taba, Marsa Matruh, Sharm El Sheikh, El Arsh, Abu-Simbel, El Kharga, Daklha, Marsa Alam, Borg El Arab, Shark El Oweinet, Port Said, El Tor, 6th October, Alexandria and St. Catherine across the regions in Egypt.

Sintelsat has provided on site support at the remote locations to meet the quality standards and requirements of these important communication links
