Sintelsat has completed a satellite connectivity using SCPC/DVB technology in Tbilisi, Georgia. The connectivity is intended to serve hundreds of thousands of users in the politically unstable country of Georgia. Internet services allow its people to keep connected to the rest of the world and exchange their viewpoint freely.

Sintelsat services are being provided using Eutelsat satellite and our teleport in Germany. The satellite connectivity was turned on this December and has been tested successfully over a period of 30 days. The services are being provided using satellite SCPC/DVB platform in addition to terrestrial fiber link. The satellite and fiber connectivity together provides a resilient IP network and very high reliability.

The IP services are being provided including 24/7 monitoring and technical support from our NOCs around the globe.
