4.5 Meter Satellite Earth Station Receiving & Distributing Video Content for a fast growing, upcoming Broadcasting Company in New York City, New York

Sintelsat has supplied, integrated and commissioned a 4.5 meter Ku-Band satellite earth station for an upcoming Broadcasting Company located in New York City. The project involves satellite station mounted on the roof top in New York City with associated equipment including Scientific Atlanta PowerVu video system.

The station receives the video content signal from Caribbean Vision on PAS-1R satellite at 45W and re-distributing it to various cable operators in New York City. Included in the project, a de-ice system was also installed to keep the reflector and feed horn assembly free from snow, keeping the reception of satellite video signals uninterruptible.

Total availability of the system is provided at 99.65% with margins for rain fade, snow, ice and high winds as experienced with high rise buildings in New York City.
