The project was to establish a dedicated satellite link between Omaha and U.S. Air Force Base in Qatar providing high speed data connectivity and secure communication between the two facilities.

Satellite data connectivity of 3 Mbps Uplink/ 512 Kbps return was provided with the hub located in Germany. The site is located in the secure US Air Force Base in Qatar and has been continuously providing trouble free services 24×7 since it was activated last April, 2006. Sintelsat selected the best equipment to provide a reliable connection for unmanned trouble free operations for this mission critical satellite link.

The site was commissioned in the highly secure environment using the best quality processes to meet the aggressive schedule. Sintelsat’s team was available in New York and Germany round the clock to commission the link during the final phase.
