This high capacity Microwave System is intended to provide terrestrial link services using STM-1 connectivity between two US Embassy locations in Kabul.

Sintelsat has supplied, installed and commissioned the microwave system project that consist of site survey, site identification, site preparation, tower erection, high capacity redundant microwave link (STM-1) capacity and related equipment.

The system is designed to support high capacity voice, data, and video application for WAN (Wide Area Network) or Metropolitan Area Network. A Network Management System was also provided to control and monitor the system.

Sintelsat is providing 24×7 maintenance and operations support for a period of two (2) years after commissioning.
